Mounting the PRL-760C/PRL-760D/PRL-760E Power Supplies
To mount PRL power supplies to a flat surface, please use the following kits:
Power Supply | Mounting Kit |
PRL-760C Series | 60900001 |
PRL-760D Series | 60900001 |
PRL-760E Series | 60900002 |
Kit 60900001 includes:
- 4 screws (Fastenal p/n 32304, PRL p/n 60522016)
- 4 washers (Fastenal p/n 71008 , PRL p/n 60203007)
Kit 60900002 includes:
- 4 screws (McMaster p/n 99461A209, PRL p/n 60011020)
- 4 washers (McMaster p/n 92141A005, PRL p/n 60211000)
The PRL-760C/PRL-760D have similar form factors, with the main difference being the removable AC input cord on the PRL-760D vs. the hard-wired AC input cord on the PRL-760C.
The mounting holes for the PRL-760E are in the same position as for the PRL-760C/PRL-760D, and it has similar construction, but the overall bounding volume is smaller, and the plastic posts are smaller, necessitating a smaller screw.
All models have two plastic shells, top and bottom, held together via 4 self-tapping screws:
PRL-760C/PRL-760D, top-view, as-shipped. |
PRL-760E, top-view, as-shipped. |
PRL-760C/PRL-760D, bottom-view, as-shipped. |
PRL-760E, bottom-view, as-shipped. |
Drill 4 holes in your mounting plate, to match the position of these 4 screws, using this drawing as a guide.
Remove the 4 screws from the underside of the unit, using a Philips-head screwdriver.

PRL-760E, Disassembled |

PRL-760E, Bottom View, with Screws Replaced by Kit |
It is not necessary, or recommended, to separate the shells, but the disassembled unit is shown above, to show the molded plastic posts in the upper shell into which the screws insert.
Use the 4 new screws and washers from kit #60900001 to secure the PRL-760x to your plate. The screws should be inserted through the washer, then through the plate, and then into the body of the PRL-760x, where they will thread into the molded posts in the upper shell. An assembly drawing will be posted to this page, shortly.
* The PRL-760E is supplied as any of the following part numbers, but the AC/DC adapter unit is the same, and the same mounting instructions apply. The PRL-760E supersedes the PRL-760D/PRL-760C in all applications as of 10/15/23, subject to the exclusions listed below. Some stock sold after that date will still include a PRL-760D:
- PRL-760E, the AC/DC adapter "brick", as pictured above, with no AC input cord or modular DC power cables. The marking on the unit reads "PRL-760E". This is a manufacturing part number only, and the marketing part number is PRL-760C-120/220.
- PRL-760E-120/220: the AC/DC adapter unit, as pictured above, with the removable 2-prong US AC input cable (33000102) and 4 modular DC output cables, (88000102-4).
- The PRL-760E brick is also bundled, by default, with the US AC input cable and 1 DC output cable, with all PRL products that require a power supply, e.g. PRL-414B, unless that product is specified without a power supply via the "-OEM" suffix, e.g. PRL-414B-OEM, or if that product requires the PRL-760C (see below).
* The PRL-760D was supplied as any of the following part numbers, but the AC/DC adapter unit is the same, and the same mounting instructions apply. The PRL-760D was superseded by the PRL-760E in all applications as of 10/15/23, although some stock sold after that date will still include a PRL-760D:
- PRL-760D, the AC/DC adapter unit, as pictured above, with no AC input cord or modular DC power cables. The marking on the unit reads "PRL-760D". This is a manufacturing part number only, and the marketing part number was PRL-760C-120/220.
- PRL-760D-120/220: the AC/DC adapter unit, as pictured above, with the removable 2-prong US AC input cable (33000101) and 4 modular DC output cables, (88000102-4).
- The PRL-760D brick was also bundled, by default, with the US AC input cable and 1 DC output cable, with all PRL products that require a power supply, e.g. PRL-414B, unless that product is specified without a power supply via the "-OEM" suffix, e.g. PRL-414B-OEM, or if that product requires the PRL-760C (see below).
* The PRL-760C is supplied as any of the following part numbers, but the AC/DC adapter unit is the same, and the same mounting instructions apply:
- PRL-760C4, the AC/DC adapter unit, as pictured above, with the hard-wired 2-prong US plug, and no modular DC power cables. The marking on the unit reads "PRL-760C4". This is a manufacturing part number only, and the marketing part numbers are PRL-760C-120 and PRL-760C-220, as described below.
- PRL-760C-120: the AC/DC adapter unit, as pictured above, with the hard-wired 2-prong US plug and 4 modular DC power cables (88000102-4). The slider switch will be switched for 120 VAC input, but can be manually switched to 220 VAC at any time.
- PRL-760C-220: the AC/DC adapter unit, as pictured above, with the hard-wired 2-prong US plug and 4 DC modularpower cables (88000102-4). The slider switch will be switched for 220 VAC input, but can be manually switched to 120 VAC at any time.
- The PRL-760C4 brick is also bundled, by default, with 1 DC output cable, with selected PRL products that require the +17 VDC rail, e.g. PRL-470D, unless that product is specified without a power supply via the "-OEM" suffix, e.g. PRL-470D-OEM
