The back side of each Gigadapter has pads for placement of critical components (e.g. decoupling capacitors, terminations, zero Ω jumpers to power and ground, etc).
Each pad is connected to a device pin via feed-through holes, which keeps these signal paths very, very short (0.1" or less).
This patented feature allows for operation up to 3 GHz or more.
